She sits in the bathroom on top of the sink,
She's crying her eyes out she's far too weak.
She tries to forget everything they said,
But every last word is still swirling in her head.
She lets all the pain overflow to a knife.
She cuts her wrist deeply, wants to give up her life.
Around her friends she's always smiling,
Pretending everything's fine.
They don't really know her,
The girl who's slowly dying.
She always puts on a facade,
Even though she is constantly crying.
One day her friend sees her covering up her wrist,
He reaches for her hand and asks her, "What's this?"
She pulls away roughly and turns to the side,
She wants to say something,
But all she does is hide.
He turns her around gently and lifts up her face,
He looks in her eyes and says, "I'll keep you safe.
I'll take away the pain that you feel in your heart.
I'll always be here, we will never be apart."
He picks up a pen and takes off the cap,
He writes "love" on her wrist in a little gap.
"This word on your wrist don't you ever forget it.
I mean it with all of my heart don't you get it?
If I'm not with you just look at your wrist,
You see love always prevails, in fact, I insist."
She starts to cry as he pulls her in close,
Her heart had found love when she needed it most.
